Final score St Gabriels 4g 3pts to St Brendans 4g 9pts.
Well done to Robbie Keane for all his hard work with this team. It was a great team performance and
probably the best one for this group of players to date. Don't worry girls bring on the Championship.
Coming up in a few weeks time. Well done to our goalie Allie Glennon who made great saves under
pressure and the backs doing great work also. Well done girls.
GABRIELS U12 LADIES
St Gabriels u12 ladies team travelled to corofin on thursday 28th of april. Corofin B team could not
field a team but played a game against St Gabriels girls with some of their A players on board . A great
workout for St Gabriels girls and some great performances especially playing against a good complement
of Corofins A Panel. Corofin won the match but St Gabriels girls came away happy when they heard they
had been awarded the points due to Corofins inability to field a full team for this match. Well done girls.
GOALIE CIARA THWARTS MOUNTBELLEW
St Gabriels u12 Ladies played
Mountbellew/Moylough in Aughrim
pitch on good Friday 22nd of april at
1 p.m. In front of a large crowd on a
lovely fine day St Gabriels started the
better team and with a great point and
a fantastic goal from Amy Kelly and
Ellen Mcloughlin respectively,
St Gabriels were doing well.
Mountbellew/ Moylough rallied and with
their taller backs were a point ahead of
us at half time. St Gabriels 3g & 2pts to Mountbellew/Moylough 3g & 3pts.
St Gabriels worked really hard in the
second half after an encouraging half time team talk by the u12's management and with great points
from Niamh Daly and Leah & Amy Treacy who were having great performances once again St Gabriels
began to impose their game on a tiring Mountbellew/Moylough back line. A strong finish beckoned for
Gabriels who got a great goal from Ciara Dunne which put St Gabriels ahead of mountbellew/moylough.
St Gabriels ended the game strongly despite a frantic finish at the close. Well done to our goalie Ciara
Lennon who had an inspired game especially in the second half and the backs with strong never say
die performances from Laoise Keane, Orla Martin, Jennifer Kelly Avril Lohan and Alisha Murphy who
came under great pressure in the second half and let mountbellew only score three points in the second
half. Very busy games from Aisling Donnellan and Niamh Kenny who played great football also.
Full time score St Gabriels 5g 6pts to Mountbellew /Moylough 3g 7pts.
Well done girls great performance.
NIAMH'S HATRICK NOT ENOUGH IN GREAT GAME
U12's ST GABRIELS Ladies team played their first league match on Saturday 16th of April against Claregalway
in Aughrim pitch. A great crowd and a beautiful day in which St Gabriels started the better team with a great
point scored by Niamh Daly. Claregalway had lots of chances but couldn't put the scores on the board. For St
Gabriels Niamh Daly scored two great goals and Amy Treacy took a free and scored a lovely point and they
were 2g and 2pts up to 2pts at half time. In the second half and in a scorching heat St Gabriels girls from the
goalie, backs through to forwards played some great football and Niamh Daly scored another goal to complete
her hat trick but Claregalway came well into the game and were the stronger team and beat us on a scoreline
of 5g 4pts to 3g 2pts. Well done to St Gabriels girls on your first outing and a terrific battling performance.
Next match on Friday against mountbellew /moylough.
