St gabriels gaa club lotto is now 8,400 EURO, the next club lotto draw is in Brodericks bar on Monday 26th of July. Well done to Michael L'Estrange of Kilconnell who represented St Gabriels in the U15 County Development Blitz in Loughgeorge last week. The club would also wish to sympathize with the Malone family, Kilconnell on the death of John Malone. May he rest in peace.

Well done to the Galway minor team and Mark Loughnane (St Gabriels) on their win against Sligo in Pearse stadium last week. Congratulations to Liam Brogan who represented St Gabriels playing in the Galway Jersey at the interval of the Galway/ Sligo match in pearse stadium on Sunday last.
St gabriels gaa club also hosted the annual Gertie Kelly and Easi-Fix Blitz matches in Kilconnell pitch on Friday 25th of june and Saturday 26th of june in Kilconnell pitch. A summary of which can be found in our 2010 match reports link in our club menu to the left.
Our last car development draw was held in Raheens on friday 26th of june. We had one winner and it was Pat and Bernie Glennon they won EUR150 thanks again to all who bought a ticket or sold a ticket for the club. It is greatly appreciated
28/06/10 GREAT WEEKEND HAD BY ALL We will shortly bring you details of how the Gertie Kelly Cup and the Easy Fix finals went on friday & saturday respectively. Weather was great, football was brilliant and everyone had a terrific time. Many thanks to all players, parents, mentors & helpers. 23/06/10 GERTIE KELLY CUP GETTING UNDERWAY  The Under 10's Annual Gertie Kelly Cup Blitz will commence on friday evening 25th june @6pm. And we can look forward to a busy weekend with the culmination of the Easy Fix League also taking place on the saturday 26th june on St Gabriels Kilconnell Pitch. 17/06/10 JUNIOR A IN ACTION ON FRIDAY St Gabriels Junior A will play in the second round of the championship against Annaghdown in Mountbellew pitch on friday evening 18th of june at 8p.m. All support appreciated. Pierce Mulry's U10's will also be playing Caltra in Castleblakeney on the same night (fri 18th june) with a 7pm Throw In. Please Note this is a change to the original venue.
16/06/10 ST GABRIELS GAA CLUB LATEST St Gabriels U12's played St Brendans in the EasyFix League last week and recorded a narrow win, the substitutes also got in on the act and played a game afterwards. Many Thanks to Damien Traynor and St Brendans for their hospitality on the day. Latest table has been updated. Pat Finns Junior A Panel were also in action in the second round of the North Board Junior A Championship to see how they got on see our 2010 Match Reports section. 11/06/10 U10's MATCH TIME CHANGE St Gabriels Under 10's away trip to Clonberne now begins an hour later with a 7pm Throw In and will now leave Kilconnell @6.10pm by car. Good Luck to them against Clonberne tomorrow (saturday). 10/06/10 UPCOMING MATCHES FOR ST GABRIELS  U12's are in EASYFIX league action against St Brendans in Ballygar @7pm on friday evening 11th june, anyone in need of a lift is to contact their managers Mike Malone or Bosco Riddell as they will be leaving kilconnell by car cavalcade! Pierce Mulry's U10's are away to Clonberne this coming saturday 12th june @6pm. They will leave Kilconnell @5.10pm. Pat Finns Junior A panel are also in action on saturday @5pm Menlough.
02/06/10 LATEST ST GABRIELS NEWS St Gabriels U14's are in semi final league action this coming friday versus Dunmore @7pm in Kilconnell good luck to these lads who are having a terrific season as they currently top the easy fix league also (see our link to see latest updated table).  St Gabriels g.a.a. club had an extremely busy and successful week on the playing field last week. St Gabriels U12's played mountbellew/moylough in the EasyFix league and after a great game won the match. St Gabriels U12's also played St Bridgets in the EasyFix league and again won. They also had a good win against Ballinasloe to send them to the top of the table. St Gabriels U12 second team were also in action and had a good game against mountbellew/moylough but unfortunately were beaten by a single point. St Gabriels U14's had a terrific win against Dunmore in their league match in Kilconnell. And the action just kept coming when Pat Finn's St Gabriels played Cortoon Shamrocks in Junior C on Friday evening in Kilconnell pitch and after a very entertaining game won by the narrowest of margins. A great day was had by all with sports fun and refreshments .

01/05/10 NEW FIXTURES COMING UP & MORE NEWS St Gabriels G.A.A. club are having a fun afternoon for all the family on Sunday 9th of May at the club grounds in Kilconnell to coincide with La na gClub. Activities on the day include football blitzes for ages U8 upwards with teams in County colours, music, barbecue, club wall, Irish dancing, Ladies football, bouncy castles. Fancy dress up to six years of age. Everyone is welcome to attend and make it a day to remember. 29/04/10 BLITZ VERSUS MOUNTBELLEW & BALLINASLOE  St Gabriels GAA club is pleased to announce that they will be hosting an U8 & U10 Blitz this coming Sunday 2nd May in Kilconnell. Proceedings get underway @10.45am and invited clubs Mountbellew & Ballinasloe will provide stern tests for all involved. Also U12's will be training this thursday (29th April) in Aughrim @7pm & Minors will be training friday (30th April) in Kilconnell @8.30pm.

Seamus Coughlans U16's continue to make good progress with another win against Annaghdown away from home in their respective league, this bodes well for the coming season for the U16's who made the league final last year under Robbie Keane. And on a final note we would like to wish Thomas Hynes a safe and speedy recovery from the wrist injury he suffered on the night which interrupted the excellent game that he was having for St Gabriels on the night.

15/04/10 LATEST SAINT GABRIELS MATCHES
 St Gabriels had a busy week on the playing field. The Minor team were first up with a game against Cortoon Shamrocks. A good game of football. Cortoon won the game well in the end. St Gabriels U12's played Monivea in the first round of the Easi-Fix league in Monivea on Thursday in Monivea. Evenly matched teams with Monivea winning by 1 pt. Final score St Gabriels 3g 8pts to Monivea 3g 9pts. St Gabriels U14's played Kilanan in Kilconnell on Friday last. A great game ensued with Kilanan leading at half time by 1 pt. St Gabriels took the lead after the second half with two great goals but Kilanan fought back and won by 1 point. Final score St Gabriels 4g 9pts to Kilanan 3g 13pts. St Gabriels U14's take part in the Feile competition in Williamstown on Saturday 17th of April....and latest Junior match summary can be found in our updated match reports section.

 Saint Gabriels development draw was held in Raheens last Friday week night. Larry Lohan, Kilconnell, won EUR1,000.00 (third prize) and Joan Grenham, Aughrim, won EUR150.00. Well done to our two winners. Thanks to all who purchased a ticket. Anyone interested in taking part in the remaining three draws can purchase a ticket from any club officer for EUR75.00. The next draw is on Friday 30/4/10. The In-house draw was held on 30/3/10 in Kilconnell clubhouse. Ned Forde Ltd., Oranmore won EUR250.00.
01/04/10 NEW SOCCER SECTION LAUNCHED  St Gabriels would like to announce the launch of their all new soccer section of the club, it is envisaged that St Gabriels Soccer Club will compete in the Galway & District League for the start of season 2010/11 beginning with an under 14's team.  St Gabriels national school boys team travelled to Loughgeorge, Claregalway to take part in the Blitz match finals of 2009 which they qualified for last year. They played Belclare/Corofin in their first match and won it. Then they played Moycullen and despite a valiant effort they were beaten. All teams were level on points after the 1st round. St Gabriels national school then played Craughwell in the next round and lost narrowly to them. Craughwell went on to contest the final. Well done Lads on the great performance given and hard luck on being beaten. Thanks to Mike Malone and Ms Collins who looked after the school team. 26/03/10 U14 CHALLENGE MATCH UPDATE LATEST  ST GABRIELS U14 TEAM travelled to Ballyforan on tuesday evening to play st aidans in a challenge match. St Gabriels were the better team and won the game. It was a good workout and everyone enjoyed the evening.  Pat Finns Junior teams get set for a busy weekend of sporting action with Junior A & C both in competitive play on Saturday & Sunday. Junior A team play Milltown in milltown on saturday at 4 p.m. and Junior C come up against Williamstown in Williamstown on sunday at 11.30 am. All support would be greatly appreciated.
CONGRATULATIONS Well done and best of luck to Mark Loughnane who played with the Galway Minor team in Duggan Park last saturday evening against Longford in the first league match. He scored a great point from play. Galway won easily and in the next league game Galway Minors play Sligo in Tuam Stadium on Saturday 27th of March at 2 p.m.
22/03/10 ST GABRIELS JUNIOR CHALLENGE MATCH  Saint Gabriels Junior team played caltra last sunday evening in kilconnell pitch in a challenge match. With great support turning out for the home team. Good competitive action consisted of three 20 minute matches being played. All subs and players gave a great performance. A good workout for all involved. Caltra were the stronger team and won out the match. Thanks to Paul Quinn for refereeing the match. Congratulations to Noel Kelly who got engaged last week & best wishes to Noel and Nuala from everyone in St Gabriels g.a.a. club.

 Well done to everyone on the great night that the Ladies club had in Valeries for their quiz last Friday night. Congratulations to Avril Lohans team and Ronan Kellys team who won the junior quiz and to Seamus Finns team on winning the Senior quiz.
