St Gabriels Ladies Football Club held their Xmas raffle on Saturday 17th December in Brodericks Bar of Kilconnell. The winners were 1st prize of a hamper to James Mannion, Mountbellew. 2nd prize hamper went to Nancy Somers, Ballymacward. 3rd prize of a hamper went to Ciara Hession of Kilmalaw. 4th prize of coal went to Marie Lally of Kilconnell. XMAS RAFFLE - St Gabriels Ladies Football Club are holding a Christmas raffle on December 17th in Brodericks Bar, Kilconnell. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5. 1st Prize is a hamper sponsored by Hickeys of Kilconnell, 2nd Prize is a hamper sponsored by Declan Fahy buses, 3rd Prize is a hamper sponsored by Brodericks Bar, Kilconnell. 4th Prize is 3 x 20 kg bags of coal sponsored by Norman Sinclair Fuels. St Gabriels u16's girls played St Brendans on sunday and scored four goals & 17 points to win the u16 Championship Final in an exciting game of football that ebbed and flowed with all the players working hard for each other throughout the match. St Gabriels Under 16 Ladies will meet St Brendans in the Ladies U16 Championship Final at 1 p.m. on Sunday 20th of November. 06/10/11 U14 LADIES FINAL TIME CHANGED TO 11AM
The Ladies U14's final fixed for Mountbellew this coming Saturday 8th October has a new Throw In time scheduled for 11am. The team will leave Kilconnell @10am sharp to arrive in Mounbellew at 10.20am. All players are requested to wear St Gabriels shorts & socks (if you have them!), NO jewellery to be worn and remember to bring your gloves. Well done girls on a terrific win over Carroroe (match report now online) and the big news is the final is this saturday 8th of october at 12 o'clock in mountbellew pitch! We play Headford. Please all attend training on wednesday evening in kilconnell pitch at 7 p.m. as this is the final training before the u14 final on saturday. No excuses ladies please. 02/10/11 GABRIELS GIRLS ARE ROLLIN' ROLLIN' ROLLIN'
St Gabriels u14 girls travelled to carraroe on saturday 1st of october to play carraroe in the championship semi-final, St Gabriels had a great win after what was described as one of the best football matches St Gabriels u14's have played to-date. They are now in an u14 final against Headford. Best of Luck to this talented group of ladies. Well done girls report coming up.
St Gabriels u10 girls travelled to tuam stars pitch to play in an u10 blitz on saturday 1st of October where they lost the first game but then they progressed to the B semi final and went on to win the final after a great game of football against corofin. Report now online.

Well done to our Ladies Under 10's who played Maree/Oranmore away and had a great win gaining entry to a Blitz competition this weekend, U10's will leave kilconnell hall on saturday 1/10/11 at 1.30p.m. for blitz competition in Tuam with the first game at 3pm.
Under 14's have a semi final away to Carraroe @2 p.m on saturday 1/10/11. Bus leaves aughrim pitch at 11.15am and kilconnell hall at 11.30am. Bring gloves and dont forget NO jewellery!!!
U16, U14, U12 Ladies will ALL train this thursday in Kilconnell pitch @ 7pm.

Congratulations to St Gabriels u14 girls who had a fantastic win against Claregalway in Mountbellew on saturday 19th of june in the shield final. With a great team performance and fantastic display from 1 to 17 St Gabriels girls won on a scoreline of St Gabriels 3 goals & 13 points to Claregalways 3 goals & 6 points. St Gabriels under 14 girls came third in their league group winning two games losing two games and having three games conceded to them so they play in a shield final on Saturday 18th of june at 4.00 p.m in Mountbellew pitch where they will be playing Claregalway B team. All players and parents from aughrim and surrounding area meet at aughrim pitch at 3 pm and kilconnell hall also at 3pm as we are driving down to match. Best of luck girls. |

 With the small question of a semi final to play against Moycullen St Gabriels Ladies arrived in Aughrim pitch cool & collected despite the atrocious weather and determined to give their all to reach a possible final for this talented group of Ladies. Before the match the panel were presented with new crested shorts & socks by Valerie Seale of The Auld Shillelagh in Aughrim.
